TALKING WITH... ALISON RISKE
November, 2007 continued

Q: Are you thinking about college?
A: "Yes, I'm very excited about it. I haven't really talked to too many schools. I haven't talked to anyone, actually."

Q: "Are you a junior or senior?"
A: "I'm a junior so I still have a little while. I'd like somewhere south, possibly. Somewhere a little close to home."

Q: "Does anyone else in your family play tennis?"
A: "Yes, my sister and my brother both played in college. Sarah played for Vanderbilt. My brother wasn't as serious. He played for West Liberty in West Virginia. And Sarah played professionally a little bit, but it didn't last too long."

Q: At what age did you start playing tennis?
A: "I was three and Dad took me out into the street and had me hit without a net so I wouldn't get too discouraged! And that was my first time."

Q:Where do you train?
A: "My coach is here with me now. She's great support - mentally and spiritually - because that's what I really need. Her name is Janice Irwin and she's here with me. They're just local and a high school. It's not a big facility or anything. We have bubbles during the winter."
