Week One - West - Mission Viejo Country Club - Mission Viejo, California - July 9-11, 2005

Incoming college Freshman Liz Carpenter (UW-Madison) made it to the semi-finals where she lost to the eventual champ Nina Yasftali.

Eric Riley was seeded #1 and made it to the semi-finals before having to retire due to illness. He plays for the University of Virginia.

Leslie Bullock (left) will be a high school Junior this upcoming season while Austin Hansen (right) will be a high school senior.

High school player Hilary Schroeder came all the way down from Bakersfield to Mission Viejo for the ITA event and pushed sixth seed Brittany Holland in a 6-4, 7-5 loss.

Fourteen-year-old Caroline Richman has yet to start high school but she put up a heck of a fight against eventual semi-finalist Liz Carpenter with a 7-5, 7-5 loss in the round of 16.

The women await instructions during the player meeting at Mission Viejo Country Club.
