FACT SHEET

Hospitality: Players accepted into the Championship Main draw will receive breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch and dinner will be available at the Academy. Breakfast will be served at the official hotel. Any meals eaten elsewhere are at the player's expense. One coach per country will be entitled to meals if they have a letter from their Federation naming them as official team coach.

All players and coaches must pay their own accommodation, and we will reimburse respective federations/associations at the rate of $30 per day for each player (maximum 2 boys and 2 girls per country) commencing Sunday, September 19th and concluding the night following a players last match of the event. Authority for a player or coach to collect this money directly at the end of their play in our tournament must be given in writing to the tournament director. Monies will not be paid directly to a player or coach without this authority.

Hotel Reservations: Players and coaches must make their own reservations for accommodation. This should be done by September 5th to guarantee the special rate (be sure to mention the name of the tournament). The official hotel of the Championships is the Best Western Hotel, 80 Clinton Street, Hempstead, New York 11550-4210 U.S.A., (telephone number 516-486-4100, or FAX number 516 565-0745). You may also call their toll free number 1-800-343-7950. Transportation will be provided free to and from the Academy and to nearby stores.

Special rate: $105 per room per day (plus tax) - rooms can hold up to 4 players. The room rate is only guaranteed until September 5th. After that date the rate will only be available on a space available basis. A guarantee of arrival, such as credit card information, must be given, when making your reservation.

AVAILABLE AT THE ACADEMY: 10 tournament indoor & outdoor hard courts, 9 indoor har-tru courts, T.V. lounge, plus juices, cookies, bananas, soup, coffee, tea and milk, all at no charge.

Airport Transportation: Courtesy transportation to the hotel from LaGuardia and Kennedy Airports is available if you give us your arrival information by September 15th. We cannot pick up players at any other airports. It is the player's responsibility to get to the terminal where the bus is departing from. We must know of your arrival in advance in order to determine the number of buses needed. If you do not give us sufficient notice of arrival, we cannot arrange for your transportation to the hotel.

Registration: Arrive at the Port Washington Tennis Academy at least 30 minutes before your first match to properly register for the tournament. Starting times for all first round matches will be posted at the Best Western Hotel, on our website (http://www.pwta.com), or you can call 516-883-6425 to get your time.

Entries: Please note that entries for our Championships must be sent directly to us at: The Port Washington Tennis Academy, 100 Harbor Road, Port Washington, N.Y. 11050, U.S.A. Entries will also be accepted via FAX - # 516 883-5241. $30.00 for singles which includes doubles for main draw players - separate doubles entry accepted ONLY on site (until 12 noon, Tuesday, September 21st). Foreign checks must have a pre-printed United States bank shown on the check or we cannot accept them.
