Thursday
The tournament concluded today with two matches that were tougher than the numbers showed. David Frankel took the boys FIC with a 6-2,6-2 win over Lucas Green. In boys' doubles, it was the second seeded team over the top-seeds as Jeff French/Matt Llewelyn prevailed 6-1,6-4 over Andrew Arons/Allen Royce, 6-1,6-4. Thanks to everyone who participated. It was a terrific tournament and we hope to see everyone back next year!

Wednesday
It was an exciting day at the Concord as unseeded Kile Sherry took the boys title after a tough fight from third-seeded Matthew Cherner-Ranft, 6-3,7-6(6). On the girls' side, the top seed prevailed as Sonia Ruzimovsky went home with the trophy over Arden Fredeking, 6-3,6-3. The girls doubles went to unseeded Jayme Ahmed/Zebroski after a grueling 5-7,6-3,7-6(4) match against Yana Krugly/Sonia Ruzimovsky. The boys doubles final will take place tomorrow. All of the singles semifinalists, doubles finalists and FIC finalists receive wildcards into the August USTA Supernational Hard Court Championships.

Tuesday
After a tough bunch of matches, players are heading into semifinals and finals tomorrow. In the girls doubles, tomorrow's final will be between top-seeded Yana Krugly/Sonia Ruzimovsky and unseeded Jayne Ahmed/Megan Zebroski. Jayne and Megan arrived in the finals after eliminating the No. 2 seeds. The boys doubles are running a bit behind due to Andrew Arons accomplishments in the singles draw, however, Jeffrey French/Matthew Llewellyn are locked into the finals. In singles, unseeded Kile Sherry continued his upsets to bring him into the finals against No. 3 seeded Matthew Cherner-Ranft. For the girls, Sonia Ruzimovsky and Arden Fredeking, the top two seeds, will meet in tomorrow's final.

Monday PM
All of the seeds in the girls draw moved through the quarters without a problem. Only No. 2 seed Arden Fredeking had a close call in a 4-6,7-5,6-4 match against unseeded Sarita Konka. The boys quarters and girls doubles are on the court. There will be more updates tomorrow.

Monday AM
The boys played through the round of 16 this morning with top seed Scott Paltrowitz advancing after his win over James Carpenter. The only upset came when unseeded Kile Sherry breezed past second seed David Frankel, 6-1,6-0. The boys will be playing another round this afternon. The girls are currently on the court and we will have updates later.

Sunday PM
I am happy to say the rain departed and Sunday's matches were completed. Most of the seeds advanced. Tomorrow we will start the Feed-In and Doubles. Now that the draws (and computer work) is set, I hope to take some pictures and talk to the players tomorrow.

Sunday AM
The first annual NATIONAL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP in New York is getting off to a wet start. We're hoping to start play this afternoon. Check back for pictures and results.
