2001 USA TENNIS COLLEGIATE TEAM

Twelve top American men's and women's college tennis players have been chosen for the 2002 USA Tennis Collegiate Team. Sheila McInerney, head women's coach at Arizona State, will coach the men's team while Pepperdine coach Adam Steinberg will lead the men.

The USA Tennis Collegiate Team is a training program that is funded by the USTA in order to provide players with exposure to the professional circuit. Players are chosen for the program based on the following criteria: United States citizen; Dual Match Record; Final ITA Ranking; Performance in ITA National events; and Sportsmanship.

The team will participate at select events on the USTA Professional Circuit throughout the Summer and will continue through to the U.S. Open in August.
