The summer started out great for 16 year old Jamie Hunt. The Texas native reached both the singles and doubles finals of two consecutive ITF tournaments in July. At the first, the International Junior Cup in Mexico, he swept the singles and doubles titles. Jamie is currently ranked on top of the USTA National Boys 16s.

Another junior who continues success, which has included wins on the USTA Professional Circuit, is Alexa Glatch. Alexa's latest accomplishment was winning the last three consecutive ITF events she entered, the SATPC Junior ITF Tournament, the PIC Pretoria Junior ITF Tournament and the USTA International Grasscourts.

At the German Open, Igor Sijsling of the Netherlands won the singles and doubles titles, the latter with partner Peter Lucassen. Elena Tchalova of Russia took the girls singles trophy without losing a set in the tournament. The girls doubles winners were Nikola Frankova and Korina Perkovic.

Maciek Sykut was celebrating a tournament well-done when he left the Cable & Wireless International Junior Tournament in Jamaica. In his first ITF finals this year, the 18 year old won the doubles with fellow American Marek Czerwinski and was a finalist in the singles, where he lost to Jose Luis Muguruza of Aruba, 6-2,7-6(2).
