Gael Monfils may have wrapped up the No. 1 in the boys ITF Junior World Rankings, but it's a fight to the finish for the top spot in the girls. Ukraine's Katerina Bondarenko kept up the pressure by winning the Yucatan Cup in Mexico with a 6-4,6-1 win over American Andrea Remynse in the final. The previous week US Open winner Michaela Krajicek had dominated the Raiffe Open in Luxembourg, taking the title with a 6-2,6-2 win over Caroline Wozniak. (She teamed with Bibiane Schoofs for the doubles.)

Though the number one is not in question, the boys are still battling for their end of the year ranking. Lukas Lacko earned his second Grade 1 title of the year at the Raiffe Open while Pablo Andikar-Alba was the Yucatan Cup winner.

The final ITF events of the year are in Florida where players will be going for their last points at the Eddie Herr, USTA Winter and Orange Bowl International Championships.
