The Maureen Connolly Brinker Foundation has announced the international expansion of its 11 and under tournaments. The first "Little Mo" International will be held in Arlington, Texas, December 7-10, 2006. For more information, visit the Maureen Connolly Brinker website.

Chase Buchanan has expanded his wins to ITF titles. The 14 year old won the singles and doubles at the Panama Bowl. Chase's doubles partner, Devin Britton, has continued his own success on the ITF Circuit, capturing four doubles titles in two months.

The USTA has announced the launch of the Okechi Womeodu Scholar Athlete Grant. Okechi was a junior tennis player who died suddenly in 2004 during an indoor soccer game at the age of 16. He was a top player who was well-known and well-respected by his peers. There will be two $5,000 grants given annually in Okechi's honor by the Multicultural Grants Program. Eleven year old Grace Min has garnered some well-deserved attention. The Georgia native swept the singles and doubles at the Girls 14 National Open. She added the trophies to the Gold Ball she received after winning the doubles Girls' 12 Hardcourts last summer (she was also the singles finalist).

The United States won three of four team titles at the b2006 North/Central America & Caribbean Regional Championships for the Junior Davis & Fed Cups. The boys teams finished on top in both the Junior Davis Cup and World Junior Tennis divisions, while the girls took first place in Junior Fed Cup and second at World Junior Tennis to the Canadian team.
