The men's event will take place at the University of Washington February 17-20 while the women will play February 2-5 at the University of Wisconsin.

Biola University's Dee Henry has been named the national winner of the USTA/ITA Campus Recreation Award and Michael Gennette of California Luthernan University won the USTA/ITA Community Service Award.

The Tulane men's and women's tennis programs, which had been temporarily relocated to Texas A&M after Hurricane Katrina, have been dropped by the university. The school was forced to drop a number of sports, but hopes that they will return sometime in the future after the school has been rebuilt.

Notre Dame men's coach Bob Bayliss was recognized by the United States Naval Academy with one of its varsity tennis courts named in his honor and a dedicated plaque in the squash facility. Coach Bayliss was the head tennis coach their for 15 years, as well as the school's head squash coach for four seasons.

Texas A&M' junior Anna Lubinsky teamed with her mom to win the USTA National Mother-Daughter Hard Court Championships.

The 2005 Texas Tennis Coaches Association Coach of the Year Award has been given to Baylor women's coach Joey Scivano.

* * *

Illinois players Ruben Gonzalez and Ryan Rowe faced each other in the singles finals of the UNLV Men's Tennis Fall Classic. Ruben prevailed, 6-7(1),6-1,6-0. The doubles title went to Tennessee's Bobby Cameron & Kaden Hensel.

The 2006 USA Team Tennis Eastern Campus Championships will take place at the Binghamton Racquet Club in Edgewater, New Jersey on February 18th. The inagural event will be limited to the first 12 teams that enter and will have a World Team Tennis format. For more information, contact Jenny Schnitzer at 914-698-0414 or schnitzer@eta.usta.com.

Coaching Changes... Former Virginia All-American Huntley Montgomery has returned to that school as a Volunteer Assistant Coach... David McNamara is returning to his Middle Tennessee team as an Assistant Men's Coach.
