NCAA finalist Somdev Devvarman captured two titles on his homecort at the Virginia Men's Open. Somdev defeated Alex Cojanu of William & Mary in the finals and then teamed with Treat Huey to take the doubles over former Cavalier Rylan Rizza and North Carolina's Brad Pomeroy. * * *
University of Alabama men's coach Billy Pate, who has been working as a board member of the Tuscaloosa Tennis Foundation to build a public tennis facility, was given the USTA/ITA Community Service Award. * * *

Brian Wilson, who has been playing the tour since winning the 2003 NCAA Doubles trophy and helping his Illinois team win their title, has joined the UNLV men's team as a Volunteer Assistant Coach... Erin Boisclair, who was the Assistant Coach at Wisconsin, was named the Head Women's Coach at the University of Texas-San Antonio...
